His story

The bicycle first almost took his life.
Then it became his purpose.

From childhood, Tony had a deep connection with the bicycle. He wanted a better one to compete. His father told him he would have to earn it. He sold apples from his grandfather's land until he raised the money. That experience taught him the power of sales, work and purpose. The bicycle, from that moment, was not just a sport — it was life's first lesson.

At 16, a serious cycling accident left him hospitalized for more than 34 days. There was a coma. There were surgeries. There was a moment when no one knew if he would make it. His family waited. Tony's body fought. And in that silence, something deeper began to move.

When he woke up, something changed forever. He understood he could not waste the life that remained. The bicycle, which first almost took his life, became the tool God used to rebuild it — not as a metaphor. As a concrete reality: movement, discipline, the cycling community — all of that was part of his recovery.

The recovery took months. But in that process, Tony made decisions that would change his path: study computer engineering, learn about business and entrepreneurship, and understand that a passion — well channeled — can become an ecosystem of value for thousands of people.

Today, everything he builds — PuroMTB, Pure Cycling, Bike & Bed Hotels — has one reason to exist: so others can transform their lives as he transformed his. It is not just cycling. It is cycling as a vehicle of discipline, community, faith and purpose. A legacy that began with a bicycle and some apples, and today reaches people in over 30 countries.

“The bicycle almost took my life. Then God used it to rebuild everything. Today, that is my mission.”
